New Iowa Arboretum Feature: Schoolhouse

Visit the Iowa Arboretum and check out the new addition to the Children’s Garden: a one-room schoolhouse. The schoolhouse was designed by former Arboretum Horticulture Project Manager, Joe McNally, and construction was coordinated by Boy Scout Ben Robertson of Madrid as an Eagle Scout project. Children are welcome to play in the schoolhouse, and a sign shares the history of one-room schools that were once vital components of an Iowa education.
